BRIEF HISTORY
Analogfilmwerke was founded by filmmaker and HFBK professor Katharina Pethke in 2015. The founding of the organization was sparked by the desire to revive the Arribloc 400 processing machine previously in use by the art school, making it accessible for all in the spirit of community-based, artist-run film labs. The organization found its home at Schomburgstraße in 2017, where it continues to grow in its reach and resources.
